Our History

Established in 1972 by Steve Harrington, our company has grown to a full-service insurance agency. We proudly serve the insurance needs of thousands of individuals and families, and the insurance needs of hundreds of business concerns in California. There are many factors to consider when purchasing insurance. We believe the final deciding factor should be the promise that we make to you – satisfaction every time you contact us. This includes your satisfaction with the carrier, the cost, claims service, our friendly staff, and attention to every detail.

Steve Harrington

Owner, Life and Property Casualty Broker

Steve Harrington is one of the partners at Harrington Insurance Agency, Inc.  He has been a licensed Life and Property Casualty Broker for over 40 years.  Steve was awarded the Elite Agent Award, the Commercial Masters Award, and, for 33 consecutive years, the Farmers Insurance Group Topper’s Award.  Steve is one of the past Board of Directors for WIAA (Western Insurance Agents Association).  Steve also speaks at various business forums.  You can find Steve racing his Corvette, on a road trip, working on his model railroad or attending train shows when not engaged with his clients.

Maureen Harrington

Partner, Life and Property Casualty Broker

Maureen Harrington is a partner at Harrington Insurance Agency, Inc and has been a Life and Property Casualty Broker for over 30 years.  Maureen began her insurance career in 1980 and was the insurance Marketing Director of the Electronics Association of California at Stateco Insurance Brokerage.  In 1983, she established her own agency specializing in commercial insurance.  Maureen is a member of the Western Insurance Agents Association and was awarded the Farmers’ Commercial Master Award.  When not assisting her clients, you can find Maureen tending to her chickens, cooking, organic gardening and hiking with her dogs.

Elizabeth Haro

Commercial Lines Account Manager

Elizabeth Haro is bi-lingual and joined Harrington Insurance Agency, Inc. in 2012 as our Commercial Lines Manager.  She began her insurance career in 2009 and earned her Property and Casualty license in 2010.  She oversees commercial underwriting, policy processing and customer service at the agency.  Elizabeth’s time is filled with traveling and school when not helping her clients.

Melissa Sykes

Personal Lines Account Manager

Melissa Sykes joined Harrington Insurance Agency in 2009 as our Personal Lines Account Manager.  She began her insurance career in 1998 and earned her Property and Casualty license in 1999.  Melissa handles our new accounts, claims, policy processing and customer service for our personal lines clients.  When not at Harrington Insurance Agency, you can find Melissa participating in fundraisers close to her “heart”.

Jolene Harrington

Administrative Manager

Jolene Harrington joined Harrington Insurance Agency, Inc. as Administrative Manager in 2005.  She oversees the administrative operations of our agency including material distribution, agency correspondence, record management and commercial lines billing and claims service. Jolene’s spare time is spent riding her horses.
