Valle Monte League, Inc. is an all volunteer non-profit organization with more than 150 dedicated and enthusiastic members. The League was established in 1950 specifically to raise funds for licensed mental health agencies in Santa Clara Valley. Today Valle Monte League continues to operate with no paid administration or staff.

Established in 1957, The Summit League is a non-profit organization consisting of 50 Active Members and over 60 Sustaining Members who are committed to raising funds in the areas of education, health, welfare and the arts. Over the past 50 years, more than a million dollars has been raised for charitable organizations in the Santa Clara Valley.

AVRTR, Inc. is a non-profit company organized to foster community commitment to health and personal welfare, community involvement, and community giving.  We organize an annual running and walking event, called, "Run, Turkey, Run!" on Thanksgiving morning combined with a major shoe drive benefiting Soles4Souls.

The Rotary Club of Almaden Valley

The Rotary Club of Almaden Valley, chartered in 1969, has 45 to 50 men and women representing a wide cross-section of local businesses and professions. The club meets each Thursday for fellowship, lunch, and interesting and informative programs dealing with topics of local and global importance. The club is a member of Rotary District 5170 comprised of 59 clubs and approximately 4000 members.

YWCA of Silicon Valley

The programs offered by the YWCA of Silicon Valley enable women, children, and families to learn, grow, and prosper. These programs, which have become a model for social-service efforts nationwide, address the fundamental human issues underlying poverty, violence, and family dysfunction. Of the over 16,000 women, children and men reached by YWCA's programs each year, 79% were children or teens and 65% were racial or ethnic minorities.

Several years ago in 2003, Susan Runsvold set out upon what has become quite an adventure. Her vision was to buy bikes at Christmas and give them to underprivileged children; children she believed might otherwise not receive any present from Santa. She began what she hoped would be a tradition of collecting money from her friends and colleagues to purchase as many bikes as possible for holiday distribution.

But the story doesn’t end there. In 2005, Susan asked an amazing group of individuals to help flesh out her dream. With a resounding yes from each person, TurningWheels For Kids (TWFK) was born. The unbelievable success of this group has resulted in well over 6,000 bikes to local children. And as with all good ideas, the mission grew. Today, TurningWheels For Kids now distributes bikes not only at the holiday but also year round through a number of partnerships.

The Almaden Valley Counseling Service envisions a community where everyone has access to affordable mental health counseling. AVCS is a community-based, nonprofit counseling agency committed to meeting the mental health concerns of all ages, with an emphasis on youth. AVCS offers a full range of counseling services to support and promote personal growth, positive family relationships, and emotional well-being.
